Built in 1902 the structure typifies early twentieth century classical motifs, borrowing from the Italianate Palazzo and having an Empire feel. Throughout the years, the building has been home to many famous tenants, including Jacqueline Susann, author of Valley of the Dolls, and Danceteria, a 1970's nightclub where Madonna got her start.
